Mythology.
I absolutely hate mythology. It is stupid stories that aren't true. I don't believe it anyways, so why do we have to learn it?? We are in English, not Mythology class. Geez. It is so stressful when teachers give you a project the day you come back from spring break that is due in 5 days . Especially when it means you have to read 100 something pages of myths and take notes and write vocabulary all in the first 2 days. Plus, making a quiz, a keynote, coming up with class discussion questions, and a visual. Then, having to present ALL of that on Friday. Oh, and I forgot to mention that we don't get to work on this thing in class with our groups except for maybe a few minutes on Thursday. So not cool. Just throwin that out there.

I KNOW RIGHT!?!?!?!?! I think I just might die. I've taken 5 pages of notes on the first chapter and half of the second chapter. Two and a half more chapters to go... D:
ReplyDeletenot cool at all. if they just chose a couple of chapters to read and discuss with us, that'd be much better.
ReplyDelete*sigh* Yes, it IS a lot of work, but my opinion is totally opposite (probably because I tend to be more optimistic than most people, and maybe even naive?). I love learning about another culture. I'm naturally curious as to what it was like to have a Greek or Roman life. The stories are great, exciting, and original; I mean, I definitely couldn't come up with those crazy stories myself- especially since they even "explain" life itself! (but in a VERY different way) I DO agree with the suckishness (yes, it is a word... now) of the limited time we get :/ I honestly have no idea how that's going to work out, and the teachers probably don't either. :P
