- We had a mountaintop experience.
A "mountaintop experience" is a time when you see God. You don't want to come down from the mountain. You want to stay with God. None of us wanted to leave on Friday morning. I'm at school right now. I would SOOO much rather be in Louisville, Kentucky cleaning or cooking or washing or playing or working or serving. I'd give anything to go back. Even if it meant I had to get up at 5 in the morning EVERYday. I want to go back up on the mountain. I'm still trying to figure out how to find God here at school. I saw Him so much through the homeless people and the workers and the amazing people at the mission last week. It is so much harder to see God HERE. At home. I feel like no one understands. Today a girl asked me about my spring break. I tried to explain. She still didn't get it. I don't know what else to do to make people understand the amazingness of God and how awesome is really is to SERVE Him. I don't know what else to do at this point.
On my hand today I have a cross in the same place it always it to remind me that Jesus died on a cross SOO long ago for ME. Next to the cross, today, I have a question mark. When I look at that it reminds me to ask myself...."Where do you see Jesus?" Every night on the trip last week, we would have group time and discuss where we saw Jesus EACH day. It was so easy to point out specific times. I saw Jesus in the face of the little boy whose face absolutely lit up when I held his hand. He was 2 years old. He taught me so much. He was the same one who ran up to me and screamed "HI" in my face as soon as I walked in the room. I saw Jesus in him. A 2 year old little boy at a daycare in a mission in Louisville, Kentucky. It was so easy, simple to SEE Jesus without even trying to LOOK for him. Now, though, I'm in Tupelo at school, SEARCHING for Jesus. It is hard to see Him. I'm looking though. And I'm trying to be the Jesus that someone else is looking for today.
AMEN! PREACH IT SISTA!! =)
