So, this weekend....I watched a lot of volleyball, ate a LOT of food, sat in the car for long periods of time, watched Kindergarten Cop, spent time with my best friends (and their parents), and I saw God a lot. It was great.
This morning I went to church with Zozz and her family. They go to the Orchard. My church is very small and traditional and it is just one of those small town churches where everyone sits on the same pew every Sunday. The Orchard is HUGE and very contemporary and different from my own Sunday morning experiences. I love my church, and I was nervous about going to a different one today. It was great though. I miss the worship songs. They sang my favorite SIFAT song from last year (Our God), and I almost went crazy. I miss that type of music in church. We sing hymns at my church. I've gotten used to traditional services, and I like ours. I really enjoyed the music and the different atmosphere of Zozzy's church this morning though. Also, we were singing the songs and I could hear Justin (her little brother who is in 6th grade) sitting next to me singing. It was incredible. Then, when we sat down to listen to the scripture for the day, he got his Bible out and he looked up all the verses. I saw God SOO much through him in just the hour we were sitting in church. It was pretty amazing. He doesn't know how much that effected me. All of you probably don't understand it either, but it was just....awesome to me. A little 12 year old boy singing so loud and clear to our incredible, everlasting God. I was inspired. At 12 years old, I don't think I'd look up every verse in my Bible, either. It made me think about how I can see God through the smallest things at the most unexpected times. It was so cool. I also saw God when me and Fizz and Zozz were taking pictures by the lake Friday night. The sun was setting, and it was so beautiful. God is freaking amazing. He made the sun shine yesterday when we were outside eating in between volleyball games. :) He truly is absolutely....INCREDIBLE. The end.
I agree! The lake was so beautiful.
